Evolution

Why do I usually find I must insert a creative change in otherwise simple wonderful bare bones patterns? I spend more time researching, changing, knitting change, frogging back change, knitting new change....argh. But, then again, I am learning and adding my personality to it...must remind myself that frogging = building character. I'm doing the turtleneck shrug but just wanting to change the cuff and collar, oh so slightly. Maybe a flare here or a little rib detail there. I'll keep you posted of the winning, or is that surviving changes.
